'I'm going deer hunting': tearful Vietnam vet surprised with all-terrain wheel chair
A Vietnam veteran in Michigan who has trouble walking because of his exposure to Agent Orange broke down in tears Friday when he was presented with an all-terrain wheelchair that will allow him to hunt and fish, two of his favorite hobbies.
Nels Larsen is one of three disabled veterans to receive the pricey Action Trackchair wheelchairs from the Police Officers Association of Michigan, which is providing the chairs free of charge to the disabled vets.
Jim Tignanelli, president of the police officers' union, said Larsen was selected to receive the chair because of the many things he does for others.
