CDVA Secretary to speak at AVTT

The AVTT event, to be held at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds includes an 80% replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. and tributes to World War II, Korea, and all conflicts since Vietnam. One of the more important events at the AVTT (American Veterans Traveling Tribute) will be the Agent Orange Town Hall Meeting with Mokie Porter, Director of Communications of the National VVA in Silver Springs, MD and Sandie Wilson from Saline, MI, a former nurse in Vietnam and a Director at Large from National.
Both have joined Ken Holybee of Forestville, CA, State VVA Council’s Government Affairs Officer, in becoming advocates for helping educate the public on the after-effects of Agent Orange on veterans’ families. Holybee is experiencing effects on his children.
The purpose of the Town Hall meeting to be held in the Manzanita building of the Fairgrounds at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday is to inform the general public and veterans of after-effects of the Dioxin chemical on the children of veterans exposed to it.
