Payback: Disabled veteran gets new home
Danny Allison lost a leg in Vietnam back in 1971, and he contracted diabetes from being exposed to the Agent Orange the military sprayed over the Vietnam jungle during that war.
That in itself is enough to convince fellow veteran Jim Thomason and others like him that a little payback is due.
And payback it was.
A large manufactured home was recently delivered to Allison’s lot in Sportsman’s Park.
Providing a deserving “hero” with a new home is one of the most exciting services his foundation could be a part of, said Sisco, who serves as executive director of the foundation.
Military Warriors Support Foundation
Sisco said the goal is to help provide 100 homes for disabled veterans over the next 12-14 months – 1,000 homes within the next five years.
