About 10 years ago I sat next to a person on a plane that told me about the chemical weapons stored at Umatilla. Some scary stuff and many leaking. He was part of team that was contracted to safely destroy all of the weapons, then dismantle and destroy the factory that was to do this and ultimately return the land to it's natural state. It seems that it may have happened. I don't know if this was happening at other locations http://www.opb.org/news/article/crews-start-dismantling-chemical-depot/
