Agent Orange Info for Local Vietnam Vets
Carl spent 20 years in the military and is glad he did. However, he now tries to cope with serious medical problems linked to his service.
He's had a quadruple bypass due to severe circulatory problems, that also make his arms and legs hurt. And Carl has diabetes.
"I was never directly sprayed," he says, "but I was in areas where it was used. Basically, if you were on the ground in Vietnam, you were exposed to Agent Orange."
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs recognizes Carl's ilnesses, ischemic heart disease and type two diabetes as possibly related to his Agent Orange exposure.
