Wall of Memories: Vietnam Vets take Emotional Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight



"Forty-seven years ago, I boarded a plane here to go to Vietnam. There was nobody here to send me off," said James Sitter of Oshkosh.

More than four decades after the Vietnam War came to an end, these veterans still feel a brokenness inside.

The thought of visiting the Vietnam Memorial Wall today is overwhelming for many.

"Some of them probably still won't be able to walk up to it," Mike Weaver of Kaukauna said about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. "It's all their friends, their compatriots, their classmates, their buddies are on that wall and they aren't names to them, they're human beings."
