According to Norman Nash, the Assistant Commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs, flags may now be placed on graves in Tennessee state cemeteries on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. The flags must be removed immediately after the holidays. Flags are not permitted on the graves at any other time.
