Canada: Feds relax eligibility for Agent Orange payouts

Feds relax eligibility for Agent Orange payouts

The federal government will relax the eligibility criteria and extend the application deadline for its Agent Orange ex-gratia payments.

Individuals now have until June 30, 2011, to submit their applications and obtain the necessary medical documentation.
The requirement that applicants need to have been living as of Feb. 6, 2006, has also been removed, allowing spouses and caregivers to apply on behalf of their deceased love ones.
