Swedish agency raises funds for Agent Orange victims

The statement said there are millions of Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange, a toxic chemical sprayed by the US during wartime. Of them hundreds of thousands are children years after the war ended and many are of the third generation suffering serious congenital deformities.

The statement described the problem as a double disaster for the victims' families, who suffered from witnessing their beloved ones writhing in pain but could do nothing for them. It said worst still, the burden of patients’ expenses has forced the families deeper into poverty.
