VND 56 billion donated for AO victims

Nhan Dan – Around VND 56 billion has been donated to the Relief Fund for Agent Orange Victims since the beginning of this year.

VND 49 billion and over 2,700 wheelchairs were presented to 190 thousand Agent Orange victims through various activities, including providing medical support and health care, free check-ups and treatment, health insurance cards, orthopedic surgeries and rehabilitation.

Of the money, VND 23 billion was used to help 34,000 victims to develop their household economy, and about 2,000 victims were given VND 150,000 to 500,000 each per month. In addition, 69 savings books and 1,500 sets of bedding, clothing and utensils were also presented to victims in mountainous regions.
