Is U.S. hiding anything else from veterans?
July 05, 2010
When do the denials and cover-ups stop? When my wife and I lost a child to leukemia, I was told by another vet to check any research relative to Agent Orange as some health issues were surfacing. Our government made it clear that there were no links to childhood illnesses even though I had pictures of planes dusting with the toxic chemical. Yet a few years later, leukemia was on the Agent Orange list along with charges of a government cover-up.
Now I read about the toxic water issues at the Marine base Camp Lejeune in the June 20 Morning Call — along with a new series of denials and cover-ups — this time from the very branch of service that I served. The links The Morning Call provided with the article are enlightening to say the least.
And by the way, leukemia made the list of illnesses to veterans' children again with the toxic water issues — this many years later. Makes you wonder what else is being held in secrecy from those of us who served our country, doesn't it?
